Fresno State wins FLW College Fishing event on California Delta

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Fresno State team of Christopher Delgado and Kong Moua dominated the National Guard FLW College Fishing Western Division event on the California Delta Saturday with five bass weighing 20 pounds, 14 ounces. The victory earned the team $10,000 to be split between the university and the university's bass fishing club - $7,500 for the bass club and $2,500 for their school. The win also helped them advance to the Western Division Regional Championship.

STOCKTON, Calif. - It's often noted that, given the region's tidal fluctuations and fickle weather, you can't win a Cal Delta tournament solely by sight fishing. No doubt, that truism will resonate clearly with today's EverStart Series Western Division finalists.
   
   
Weyer keeps EverStart lead

STOCKTON, Calif. - Charlie Weyer has seen the ups and downs of the California Delta - and we're not talking only of the tides. After sacking up the heaviest bag of the FLW EverStart Series Western Division event, Weyer struggled on day two and barely held on to the top spot.
